Professional experience
Arsen Iskhakov earned his bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in nuclear power engineering from Moscow Power Engineering Institute, with a focus on nuclear reactor safety and thermophysical processes. He then completed his doctorate in nuclear engineering at North Carolina State University under the guidance of Nam Dinh, where he developed novel data-driven methods for thermal-hydraulic modeling. After a postdoctoral position at NC State in the Department of Mathematics, he joined Kansas State University in 2024 as an assistant professor in the Alan Levin Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering. His research integrates computational fluid dynamics and machine learning to improve nuclear reactor safety and efficiency.
