Accelerated Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering Programs

Accelerated programs provide undergraduates the opportunity to earn a master’s degree with early admission to the graduate program, as well as the ability to count up to nine credit hours of shared coursework in their graduate program toward their undergraduate degree. These five-year programs include:

Accelerated B.S./M.S. in Mechanical Engineering

Accelerated B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and M.S. in Nuclear Engineering

Accelerated Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering/Masters of Business Administration

Simultaneously pursuing both an undergraduate and graduate degree involves added complexity to a student’s academic plan and careful attention to additional rules and guidelines is important. Being admitted to this program can impact scholarships, federal grants and loans, including Pell Grant status. Any MNE student wishing to pursue an accelerated degree must make an appointment with the MNE department head to discuss the university practices and policies for these degrees.
