Senior Awards

Each fall and spring semester, the MNE department selects and recognizes six graduating seniors. Five as Outstanding Seniors, with one of the five being recognized as Most Outstanding. And one for the Leadership and Service Award, which is given by the Department Head to a student who demonstrates notable leadership and service to the department.

Previously, MNE graduating seniors were nominated solely by faculty. Starting Spring 2024, departmental students, staff, and faculty nominate MNE graduating seniors they deem outstanding and/or show leadership within the department.

While there's no single definition of an outstanding senior, these students consistently display exceptional qualities throughout their time at K-State. This excellence can extend beyond the classroom, encompassing their involvement in clubs and other activities.
