K-State Core (Fall 2024 or after)

Students whose first semester at K-State is Fall 2024 or later, are automatically on the K-State Core curriculum. MNE students currently on the K-State 8 curriculum have the option to move the K-State Core curriculum (see below).

Students can find their current curriculum on their DARS, shown as the Catalog Year in the top right corner of the report.

Degree Maps provide a chart representation of the MNE course curriculum requirements.

Students on the K-State 8 Curriculum

MNE students currently on the K-State 8 curriculum have the option to move to the K-State Core curriculum. The move is completely voluntary. Keep in mind that once a student moves into the K-State Core Curriculum, they cannot move back to the K-State 8 Curriculum.

Before changing curriculums, run a DARS report for your degree program for the K-State Core by selecting a Different Program with these criteria:

  • College: Engineering
  • Degree: Bachelor of Science
  • Program (these are the last 2 options on the list):
    • Mechanical Engineering (BS) -- EN-BS-ME or
    • Mechanical Engineering (BS) - Nuclear Option - EN-BS-ME-NE
  • Catalog Year = Fall 2024
